Electrical signal synchronous output
This series of products has a synchronous output BNC socket on the rear panel, which can be used to output electrical signals of the same frequency and phase as the internal modulation signal.
Internal and external modulation function
In addition to outputting continuous light, this series of products can also output modulated light modulated by an internal square wave, and the modulation frequency can be selected by pressing the keys. In addition, this series of products also have the function of external modulation. In the external modulation mode, when the external electrical modulation signal is connected to the external modulation BNC socket on the rear panel of the instrument, the output optical signal of the internal laser of the instrument is modulated by the external input signal, so that the output optical signal is modulated with the external input signal. Modulated light with the same frequency as the external input electrical signal.
Typical application one:
AV6314 series stable light source and AV6334 optical power meter form a power loss test system, which can perform power loss test of optical fiber and optical passive devices.
Connect the power output port of the light source and the power input port of the optical power meter with an optical fiber jumper, start the machine to preheat, set the measurement wavelength of the optical power meter to be consistent with the center wavelength of the light source, and press the "Reference" key of the optical power meter to The current measurement display value is set as the reference power value, and then press the "dB" key of the optical power meter to enter the relative measurement mode, and the measurement unit is dB. Connect the optical fiber jumper connected to the power input port of the optical power meter to the input port of the DUT (such as optical fiber, optical passive device, etc.), and then use another optical fiber jumper to connect the output port of the DUT to the optical power If the power input port of the optical power meter is connected, the measurement display value of the optical power meter is the power loss value of the DUT.
