Trailblazer is a rudimentary shape sensing solution capable of reconstructing and displaying the three-dimensional shape of flexible fibers. The device is capable of monitoring strain, twist, and bending directions at various locations along the fiber, calculating three-dimensional coordinates and providing information about the fiber's spatial position relative to its origin.
